What We’ve Done: Drummoyne Baptist Church

A little under a year ago we engaged to do a full audio and visual system overhaul for Drummoyne Baptist Church. We worked closely Brett Lee-Price (elder) to help turn what they had into a more functional system.

As part of the upgrade, we fixed up the mic inputs around the stage and added in a digital stage box to complement a new Behringer X32-compact mixing console. We replaced the existing cry room and foyer speakers with new speakers and added volume control, as well as rewired and fixed an existing, but non-functional, headphone system built into the pews to help with hearing and translations. We also replaced the existing FOH speaker amp with a new QSC amp that was more capable of powering the existing speakers.

We also installed two NEC P451WG projectors on the wall either side of the stage, with an HDMI input at the stage and another for the presentations computer at the back. A wall-mounted control panel allows for seamless control of the projectors and HDMI inputs, without the need for remote controls.

We were able to work within the budget provided by DBC, are very happy with the improvement in their AV system. We look forward to any opportunities to work with them in the future.
