Open Box Technology manages the Audio Visual and IT systems at St Barnabas Broadway. We are responsible for upgrades, servicing and maintenance, as well as general advice and assistance.
St Barnabas has a state of the art Public Address system. A D&B Audiotechnik speaker system and BSS London system processor take care of the reproduction responsibilities. A Roland M480 console, digital multicore and personal monitoring system takes care of the audio front end. The presentations are run through Pro Presenter 5 off a new Hewlett Packard PC.
Open Box Technology has done two things for Barneys. Firstly, they have stopped us from repeatedly making dumb, reactive – and, ultimately, costly – decisions, by helping us to develop a single vision for the integrated use of enabling technologies across ministries, without redundancy or false economies. Secondly, they have equipped Barneys volunteers to use our technology to the best of its capacity and rescued us when needed.

We also run the AV for the various external events run at St Barnabas Broadway. St Barnabas owns portable QSC and EV powered speakers along with an Allen & Heath console which enable simple setup for a variety of applications.
Having this full set of Audio Visual equipment allows St Barnabas to operate it’s services and ministries without worrying about technological limitations or inefficiencies. The state of the art system in the auditorium allows services to be conducted with audio delivered to every member in the congregation without distracting hums, buzzes or feedback. Music can be played up to the standards of the music director and team. One off events such as carols services can be handled in house and will be within the capabilities of the system. Events such as conferences and concerts can be handled easily, allowing the space to be utilised to it’s maximum potential.
The portable systems allow youth groups, playgroup and other ministries to function in whatever space and way they desire. Church weekends away are able to be easily catered for by bringing along the required equipment without having to rely upon sub-standard equipment at the venue. St Barnabas also hires out the meeting rooms and spaces throughout the facility and are able to make use of the portable equipment for all of these events as required.
